Summer Camp!

gyozablueplatterKids, come cook up some magic this summer! Explore the science of cooking, develop your knife skills, and learn how to transform a CSA box of locally-grown veggies and fruits into fabulous (and good-for-you) meals. We use fresh, seasonal foods to create omelets, soups, salads, beverages, and desserts.

Integrated into each lesson are principles of sustainability and mindful eating. Gratitude is a key ingredient and proven flavor-enhancer!

This is a fun, active, challenging camp for any child who is serious about learning to cook. No experience necessary.

Taught by Queen Anne mom, farmers market founder, and sustainable food advocate Julie Whitehorn with volunteers. (After camp on Thursday, parents are welcome to join us for a visit to the farmers market to meet the producers and shop for dinner. )
